LedgerJournalType Base enum - Extensibility options in D365

Hi All,

The standard base enum ledgerJournalType is customized by us in AX 2012 to include more elements for different journals in our solution. The custom elements are used in posting classes, forms and reports. 

The ledgerjournaltype base enum has got "Is extensible" property Set to FALSE in D365.  Hence we cannot create an extension of this enum to accommodate our custom elements. We submitted an extensibility request for this base enum to Microsoft and are waiting.

While recreating a new base enum and using it across the system is not an option, I am wondering if any body else has handled this issue with LedgerJournalType base enum.
