I'm very new to GP (2 weeks using it today). This is what is happening at my new workplace and I'm hoping that someone has an efficiency that they can share with me:
We have a line of revenue at our company that is high-volume, but low dollar. It's a recurring charge, so it's tracked in Excel since there are billing exceptions and the Billing Manager reviews/approves the exceptions every month. Once it comes back to Finance, there is some Excel manipulation that needs to happen in the table to calculate the proper rate, but ultimately the Staff Accountant generates the invoices manually in the Excel workbook as individual tabs and THEN prints each individual tab in the workbook to a PDF, attaching the PDF to an email to the client. The Staff Accountant then has to go into the Project Accounting Module in GP and enter the invoice information there for each of the clients/projects.
Please please please, there has to be a better way, right?
