Does Retail Functionality effect any standard Sales Functions.

Hi all,

I am currently working with a customer who is interested in utilising the Call Centre feature within the retail module in order to use the Price Override functionality (so any changes to prices made in sales orders by users require a reason code).

I have set this up in a test system, and have managed to get the price overrides working, after much setup regarding mode of deliveries etc. This is the only reason the Call Centre functionality is useful to them, and as a result I am wanting to find out as much as possible if using this can have an effect on the standard sales and marketing module, which they will be using to enter sales orders. I have already noticed that when using Call Centres, the Calculate --> Total Discounts button no longer works, I guess this may be due to different type of discounts being available in the retail module?

So my scenario really is to ensure that the benefits of using Call Centres for Price Overrides outweighs the functionality is effects within the standard sales order form and if there are any major flaws in using them together.
