I am currently working on a scenario where my client has routine activity as part of core business process known as Kit Sets.
Example for Kit Set is as follows,
A. Lock set has item number LS001 and is a salable item by itself.
B. Item LS001-A is a kit set which has the following items collected/gathered from various locations in the warehouse when a customer walks in or when there is a demand raised to make a kit set and sell it as LS001-A.
1. Lock Set - 1 quantity - Item number LS001
2. 2mm Screws - 6 quantities - Item number SC-2mm
3. 1 pack of small pins - Item number SP01A
4. Spring - 6 quantities - Item number SPR02A
All of these items are salable individually and can be part of the kit set which needs to collected instantly.
I suggested that these kit sets to be prepared and left on the shelves using Production control module, to be instantly available when a customer walks in at the store so as to streamline the time and human resources factor. But, client has informed that, these items cannot be pre-collected and kept ready because of the on hand stock availability. Therefore, when these items are sitting at their respective locations and need to be sold, they are available as well because if these kits are made, these individua; items cannot be put on stock again because the Production order will be ended.
This is a routine/day-to-day activity the client has.
Is there any module or function or set of functions that can help fulfill such a scenario?
Highly appreciate all kinds of inputs to fit this requirement in D365.
