CRM2016 On premises
It was suggested to me to use DXTools to send emails using templates from CRM on custom entities, and a big thank you .. you know who you are. This works a charm for most of my needs however .. I have hit a stumbling block .
CRM Entity has a notes field with a PDF attachment. I want to add that pdf attachment to the email I'm sending.
The scenario is a workflow is executed on entity A which creates a record in entity B. Once the record is created in entity B, the workflow generates a pdf from SSRS and add it as an attachment to the notes in entity B for that newly created record.
What I am trying to achieve is to then send an email on entity B ( using a template ) and attach the PDF from the notes to that email. I cannot find any documentation on DXTools on how this can be achieved. I was directed to some code, but to my inexperienced eyes it looked like creating the entire email from code. Has anybody used or is using DXtools to send emails and attach files from the entity record notes, that could assist and guide me.
