I'd like to first preface my question by saying I'm not a developer/programmer but have used AX as a user for nearly three years now.
In a previous position, we used AX 2009. When I would log in each morning, two counting journals of ten items each would be waiting to be completed before the store opened. The journals were based on the value of the items (cost- high value vs. low value).
In my new position, I'd like to replicate this model but would prefer the journals be based on inventory turnover (if possible) although cost would also be fine. At this point we haven't gone as far to even classify the inventory into counting groups, but that can easily be done.
I cannot for the life of me find out how the counting journals were able to self-populate. It wasn't done by a person because at the time there were over 30 locations and the journals were posted at about 4am Central (2am Pacific).
If someone could kindly point me in the right direction to find a solution, that would be great!
Thank you all in advance!
