From everything I can find and responses from support; you must have separate licenses for SharePoint Enterprise for each instance AX you run; so, having a development, test and pilot environment would require three Enterprise SharePoint licenses (I know that this is actually multiple licenses to create what is SPE).
My client is reluctant to spend, four a three instance environment, close to $40K just to cover the core team of 12 but, without it, you aren't getting full application functionality which you need at least for test, pilot(s) and production.
I'm wondering how everyone else is handling this?
I wouldn't want to run multiple instances of the EP on one instance of SharePoint as I have done it once and it was an unpleasant undertaking to put it charitably.
