I have an issue resulting from customers new inventory structure.
It is an AX 2009 environment and until now we had 2 inventory locations at 1 site. We are talking from a freeze inventory location and a ordinary bulk inventory location. In the item setup had a unique assignment between item number and default inventory location with default input location. So if we created a purchase order line we already intialized inventory location and wms location (inbound dock) from the item's setup.
In the item arrival journal we had all information for search free input locations and create pallet transports. This worked fine, but now we had to implement another bulk inventory location. So i can not work with default inventory settings anymore, because i do not know which from both bulk locations have space available.
On item arrival journal, i have now the problem that it requires an inbound dock for searching bulk locations and creating pallet transports.
I tried to create an own inventory location "RECEIVE" for receiving goods and there I also created the inbound docks, but AX only only will look for store areas within the new "RECEIVE" location, instead for looking all wms store areas within the wms store zone I've specified in Warehouse Management setup for all Inventory Locations. Any Idea what I have do setup?
