I comment what happens, I have an environment where I am trying to migrate Dynamics AX 2009 to 2012 R3 CU10, after I proceed to install AX 2012 R3 CU10 with the upgrade features in the designated server, I am able to install the BD with the features of Foundation Upgrade, the AOS and the client without any problem, my problem occurs in the check list specifically when I try to connect to the source server (AX 2009 server).
We thought that the problem was in the versions of the SQL Server since SQL 2008 was installed in the AX 2009 server and in the AX 2012 server we have SQL Server 2014, the SQL version of the AX 2009 server was updated. thus it is not possible to connect to the origin server.
I add that on both servers the windows firewall is off and also the SQL ports were opened through the windows firewall with advanced security. Even with everything said before in the AX 2012 installer check list R3 CU10 fails to make connection with the source DB.
I will be grateful if you help me with any suggestion or some missing information that you think I am not considering. Also in this same publication will be commenting my partner who was the one who made the steps prior to migration, my job is to install AX 2012 R3 CU10 with upgrade to finish the migration from AX 2009 to 2012.
Regards.
