We are using AX 2012 Enterprise Portal on a three server SharePoint 2012 farm. One app server and two WFE servers. Fairly frequently the Enterprise Portal website stops functioning. We get a 404 error when trying to access the page. The application pool and website are both started in IIS. Performing an iisreset sometimes fixes the issue. Other times, the site will partially load for a minute (missing images) and then it will give a 404 error again. Rebooting the server usually fixes the issue, but not always. Sometimes I have to reboot a couple of times. It happens to both WFE servers. Sometimes only one will go offline, other times both will go offline at the same time. Any ideas where I can look to determine why this happens?
