Hide System Views in App designer is not working

Hi All,

I just tried to hide some of the System Views in App designer so that the users who would be using this Custom App would not need to see unrelated views in their Account entity. I selected only views that are desired to display and save and publish. When I open the App, all system views are listed. 

Is there anything I am missing here?

Should the local VM be in synch with the LCS VM? I am not seeing some objects.

Hello all,

I am seeing that my locally downloaded VM, version 8.1 does not contain the EDT Description1000, while this does exist on the LCS VM, also 8.1. This EDT is part of the Application Suite. Shouldn't things be in synch across different VMs?

D365 Business Central and Sales minimum licenses

Hello, does anyone have information on the minimum D365 business central and sales license types I would need to integrate the 2 products together?  The business central licensing guide states the D365 Sales integration is available with the Essentials license.  What Sales license would I need to purchase?  Professional or Enterprise?  Or either?

Changing Lead record header name from Name field to Lead Name field

Our organization's sales process is a bit different as the default design of CRM would have it.   For us, a lead isn't a person but a program possibility with a potential customer - individuals with these potential customers come and go (mostly public sector).

Is there a way of changing the lead form so the record title isn't taken from the Name field but from the Lead Name field?  That would be easier for us to follow than the name of a person.

Hi i'm thinking that maybe i need to create an action to have my request done...

Request: with the creation of each type activity related to a lead in CRM update a field on the lead to update the date of that last activity created... Easy way should be a WF on each activity record type (phonecall, taks, email,etc) but i think with actions i can do it better since i don't have to create a Workflow for each activity type, just one action, my problem is that i didnt understand well How actions works... In this case they trigger should be the activity creation... Anyone can give me some guidance with?

Error - Rate option - Transportation Management

Hi,

I get the below attached error on the Rate route workbench form after I click on Rate button under the Transportation tab on the Sales order details form. I have the known basic setups like rate master, break master, rating metadata, miscellaneous charges, rate engine, mileage engine, Shipping carriers, marked Yes to 'Use transportation management processes' on the releases product details form and linking the shipping carrier to the customer. No sure why I am getting this error and how to fix it.

Using Business Central Webhooks triggering an Azure Logic App

As the standard connectors for Business Central seem to retire we are searching for a new way to get our Logic Apps triggered by Business Central.

It seems that Business Central has for all major entities webhooks installed you can subscribe and let the webhooks trigger your Azure Logic App.

I found a lot of documentation about Webhooks and Business Central. Also I found information about the HTTP Webhook Trigger for Azure Logic Apps/Flow.

Now my question is: How do I get all the stuff together?

What I need is that if I change a customer or contact or product in Business Central, the webhook should trigger my Azure Logic App.

I would need a step by step description (even if I am quite familiar with Logic Apps I am not a deep dive developer.

D365 App for Outlook Dashboard Menu Selection

Hello

The Menu selection box on the far left hand side ( three lines) is no longer has a drop down box which would normally give us the option to select a Lead, Contact or Account.

We do not know why and have tried to trouble shoot this.

Note that we are a small business and no one has edited any of the underlying properties for the D365 App for Outlook Site Map and its underlying properties.

Is anyone aware of any issues ? This has only just happended in the last 5 working days.

D365 Service Management Dispatch board not displaying information

Good evening everyone,

I, like many others, have probably been frustrated with the lack of D365 training on the Service management module.  I've been using the AX 2012 training and it's getting me close to where I need to be. 

Right now I'm have great difficulty with the Dispatch board and it seems to be somewhat inconsistent.  I've setup dispatch team/works, I have a service order activity that I can view in the bottom portion of the grid; however, no matter what I do I cannot get the activity to display in the graphical display area.  I was able to get it to work once, for one order, and one team member; however, it's again blank across the board no matter what I do.

The image above finally started displaying information once I assigned calendars to the dispatch team members.  No other changes were made and it no longer functions this way.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am new the Field Services and have been asked the 'split' work orders.  So, if someone works 8 hour days, based on their work hours, and a work order is created that is '1 day' in length.  Is there a way to have the RSO break it into 3 days of 8 hours?

It will do this when I dont use the RSO automation.

Smart List - Payroll

Currently we do not have a license for Smartlist Builder - we use the standard built in Smart list.

In the standard smartlist under the Payroll Folder there are 4 subfolders. One of the folder is Payroll Transactions - and it does not return an rows -  the other folders Employees, Employee Summary, Employee Historical Transactions   do return valid rows which I can filter etc.

Why will the Payroll Transactions - not return any row. Out the box there are no filters setup for this list. 

Please advise.

I just recently passed my MB6-894 and got my MCSA, however, it seems I cannot continue on MCSE because MB6-896 will retire soon. If I take MB6-896 before it retires and got my MCSE, am I going to retake it again since there will be another set of exams that will coming like MB-330. Thank you.

WBS cannot be opened. Error message saying "The WBS is linked with Microsoft Project file that is currently not open. As a result, you may edit non labor estimates and use tracking views." and "Failed to perform data migration for new WBS". This error happened after the production environment 's platform version was upgraded to version 23. Can anyone assist on this?

Dear Experts,

I have a requirement related to journal (picking list joural, route card journal, report as finish journal). Customers hope when we change status of Production Order to "Start". The system will generate automatically Picking list journal, Route Card journal, Report as Finish journal without posting. Can we do it in the system? If we can, please help me which configuration should be done?

How can I lock purchase already confirm ?

Hi All,

I got a scenario below :

1. After Purchasing Manager confirm purchase order - Purchase order change a status to confirm.

2. After that Purchasing staff change some thing on purchase order - they can change on purchase table (delivery date )  or they can change on purchase line (qty , delivery date , comments). -> Purchase order change a status to approved.

3. I can turn on a lock to control who change some filed on purchase order.

But I want to make a setup after purchase order already confirm - If another user want to changing something on this purchase order they must ask request to change. It looks like after user confirm all purchase order will be ready only and user can't change anything.

Hi All,

I got a scenario below :

I create new check box isapproved for release product. If isapprove is Yes it means this product already approved and user can't change this information. 

I want to write a code - If I click check box isapprovel and save it - the record will be lock (It will be read only and User can't change it ). If I un-check the checkbox User can edit record.

If anybody already done it before please support.
