The "Post" button is Greyed out in Payables Batch Entry

Payables Batch Entry shows 10 transaction, the "Poasting Date" and "Check Date" is greyed out and the "Comment" field has "Check Links" 

And, the "Post" button is greyed out.

SY00500 - The GLPOSTDT has a posting date

PM10300 - It has 5 transactions with PSTGSTUS 40 (posted) and 5 transactions with PSTGSTUS 20 (unposted)

PM30200 - It has 5 transactions posted with correct date and posted user id.

ME240461 - Mekorma table has 10 transactions with having a check number and check amount

How do I post the other 5 unposted transactions?

i need to allow for junior accountant just to create the general journals and validate it without posting or approve, and allow the approve just for senior accountants.

about posting this journals i need to limit this action just for one or two users.

so i need to seperate the three actions (creation and validation - approval - posting) to three kinds of employees (Juniors - seniors - financial manager).
for sure all of them can create and validate.

Queues not processing incoming emails

Hi all,

Quick question. I did a minimal copy from production to dev so that the environments match but noted that when I setup a shared inbox queue in dev and test and enable the queue (I still get the notification that I've server side synced my mailbox) it looks like it's not processing the incoming emails and creating cases. I've done the following steps:

- Ensured that the "Convert Incoming Email To Activities" is set to "All email messages"

- Set the queue type to private of which I'm a member of the queue

- Set both incoming and outgoing emails on the mailbox to server side sync and then test and enabled the mailbox. Both says "Success". I also received the email notification that my mailbox has been server side synced.

- Created automatic record creation rule pointing to the queue. It's set to create a case (no conditions specified, just create the case)

- Set the "Create records for email from unknown senders" to yes

- Activated the Record creation rule

- Created a routing rule with a single condition to route all cases with case title containing "Dynamics 365" to route to my original queue. Activated the routing rule.

- Activated the queue and tried to send a test email to the queue's shared inbox.

No emails were processed nor any cases automatically created. The queue looks empty and it seems that the inbox isn't processing the activities. Before the minimal copy down from prod to dev the dev queue was working properly but now it looks like it's not. What could be the problem? Do I need to get the Office 365 Global admin to approve inbox again before I test and enable? If so how come I can test and enable the inbox and get a success message if that's the requirement?

Strange thing is that in the Alerts area of the shared inbox I'm not getting any error messages.

Allocation in AX 2012 R3

Hey all,

Using AX 2012 R3 and this question is related to Allocation functionality

Example: we want to allocate the rent for the office space where we receive the invoice in January, to be allocated over the year .

Invoice amount is 12.000 and we want to allocate 1.000 per month. 

Creating the allocation rule and postings for this is fairly straight forward, but my questions is:

Do we have to keep all future periods in the current year open to make this work? Is that really the design from MS or am I missing something?

Obviously accounting do not want to keep the full year open, but seems the design would force us?

IF that is the case, how have all of you solved this? Any other workable solutions?

Inventory Closing Error

Hello Experts,

I am facing an error during the closing of the inventory. During the closing of the inventory an error popup that "Account number for transaction type Inventory, inventory loss does not exist." and the process of closing stopped and red cross is showing with  inventory closing line.

After receiving this error, I have add the account for inventory loss for All in the inventory posting and tried to resume the inventory closing but still inventory form is showing the same error.

I have tried to re-close the inventory for same period and infolog showed me that inventory of this period is closed. but the inventory closing line is still showing red cross.

I have also tried to close the inventory for the next month and infolog popup with showing the message "Another closing or adjustment has not finished yet." 


Please note that i am using FIFO inventory model.

Kindly suggest me what i should do next to resolve this issue.

Cannot Setup Work Hour for a bookable resource

Hi All,

I'm using Dynamics Online Version 1710 (9.1.0.1677) and Field Service version 7.5.6.97. Initially i was not able to create a bookable resource through unified interface but with some customization's on top of bookable resource entity. Now, i'm able to create a bookable resource but i cannot setup work hours for that specific bookable resource because that option is not available.

 I am trying to hide the Finish button from BPF in the unified version using javascript but not able to hide.

I am able to hide from Classic View of the CRM. but not able to hide from the Unified version. If any other solution except javascript. It would be also good.

Custom Activity: Populate To and from fields through parameter passed in url

I am working on a HTML page which is displaying a list of Activities and when I select any one of them it opens Activity in separate window.

Its working good for OOB entities.

for eg Email Activity URL : http://awd-izz-g-crm02/lp/main.aspx?etn=email&pagetype=entityrecord&extraqs=partyid%3D{id}%26partyname%3D{name}%26partytype%3D{type}%26pId%3D{id}%26pName%3D{name}%26pType%3D{type}

Regarding and To field auto populating by passing pId,pName,pType& partyId,partyName,partyType in url

But in case of custom activities I am not able to populate To field by passing pId,pName,pType& partyId,partyName,partyType in url.

Other ways :

* pass customer parameters in url and write jScript to read and fill fields on load custom activity form.

* XRM OpenForm()

Please don't advise these ways because these are not useful in my case as this HTML is in external application and i am creating a generic solution to open activities for multiple CRM orgs.

Can anyone help me which parameter need to pass in url to populate To field in case of custom activities?


Ledger Accrual scheme

Hi, 

Can anyone please help me with one doubt that I have regarding accrual scheme functionality.

I have done accrual scheme setup for 12 months. 

Now in my case we are using internal project type and are creating PO for services. In some cases PO created for the entire year are being received at the start of the year as the entire amount need to be paid together(ex: license fees). So the product receipt is being done at the start of the year and the cost is being charged to the account code.

So in this case we pass the journal from account code to prepaid expenses & then amortise such expenses on monthly basis. For amortising we are trying to use accrual scheme functionality.

Now we are creating general journal with Project 1 & category account ......dr

                                                                                 Prepaid expense a/c cr

So after applying accrual scheme when I am trying to post the journal I am receiving the below mentioned error - 

"Account number for transaction type Ledger journal does not exist."

I have checked the posting profile for the selected project id and category combination.

Doubt which i have is that system does not allow to post journal with 'project' account type. Can anyone confirm this ??

Or suggest a better approach to handle this kind of scenario.

Does a vendor need to be a Microsoft Partner to support Dyamics 365?

Hi, thank you for answering my question.

I understand you can find our partner information in Dynamics 365 Partner settings.

Our partner is currently not a Microsoft partner for Dynamics 365.

Question:

1) Does the vendor needs to be a Microsoft partner in order to support customers. 

2) What happens if they are not a Microsoft partner for Dynamics 365?

CRM 2016 | email server Side Sync | Emails sent but not received

Hello Guys , 

I have a weird behaviour and I' struggling for two days search but without results.

I've CRM 2016 Email profile configured with Server side Sync with Exchange Server.

All email records in CRM have status "Sent" , but For Gmail accounts email takes long time to be received 

I tested Hotmail , outlook.com emails sent quickly , but for Gmail always takes long time a(15 - 20 ) minutes.

Users having gmail accounts reports a lot of complaints regarding this behavior

How Can I  check or solve this.
